We still always went for people who were basically pretty smart, and seemed to have an unusual level of energy. Ideally, they'd been involved in a couple of real failures...
If I have something that I really know, it's software. I'm a hobbyist in biotech, 'cos it's fun to watch and there are some analogies and some things like that. But I could never go and make a world-class contribution in another field. It's just not possible.
